Tomorrow, Tomorrow...I Can't Believe He's One Tomorrow!

I realized this morning that tomorrow is actually the day! The cake is baked, cut, and crumb-proofed, I have the decorations, and the food is being prepared by a friend. My husband and I are taking tomorrow off of work to spend the big day as a family. How special! I feel so blessed that Daddy has had all of Isaac's 'firsts' off of work to be there with us...his first Thanksgiving, his first Christmas, his first New Year's, his first Easter, and his first birthday. Now, whatever he has to miss in the future won't be devistating because he's been there for all of his firsts. Mommy and Daddy are both in shock that a year has flown by, but so thankful for all of the memories we have together. What a year! It makes us excited to see what is to come! We hope to see you all tomorrow!

It's Party Time!!

Can you believe that Isaac is turning 1 year old???? Daddy and Mamma have no idea where the time has gone! I have been very busy the last month and September 24th crept up on me! I am having a birthday party for our little man! Complete with birthday cake and games. To remain safe, please call me 290-6486 for details about the party. I have invitations ready to print, but having some technical difficulties - sorry.

I never knew how time flies as a mommy! Daddy is shocked too. Isaac has learned so much this year. It's amazing to think about what he was like a year ago - a cute little blob - and to see him now nodding his head, pointing, babbling, climbing on everything, and crawling so fast that I have to run to catch him. Every time I reach the next stage in his life, I can enjoy it and find wonderful things about it, but don't ask me to be happy or excited about it ahead of time!

Look at these pictures...how time flies!

Dreams Come True

The other night, I experienced in reality something that I always pictured myself doing as a mother. Daddy, Isaac, and I went to the Outback for dinner as a family. Isaac got his own Mac 'n Cheese dinner, and my husband and I shared an appetizer and had soup. We all enjoyed each other so much and had wonderful conversation. We piled into the car (Isaac in his now front-facing carseat) and drove home. Isaac drank his bottle in the back and Brian and I talked about life. When we got home, Isaac was fast asleep. My husband gathered all the 'stuff' and I gently unbuckled the baby. His eyes peeped open and shut again when he landed on my shoulder. He burried his face into my neck and I could feel his breathing. His little legs and arms dangling as I followed Daddy up the walkway. We went inside, Daddy fixed a bottle and gave the little man a kiss on the head, and I took him up to his room.

I always watched my brother and sisters carry in my neices and nephews and thought how wonderful it must feel to know that my baby was asleep in my arms because he felt comfortable and safe. Over and over as the mother in our little family my dreams I have known come true. I believe that these little realities are confirmations that God knows my heart and holds me in the palm of his hand.

He's getting older!
