Autumn Glory...It Was Glorious!

On October 11, Isaac and Mamma went to the Autumn Glory Festival in Oakland, MD. We sold tickets for Landon's Library's raffle and then went to watch the parade with Aunt Lizzie, Uncle Andy, Rowan, Ingrid, Aunt Nita, Uncle Phil, Elijah and Julia! Isaac loved the parade, but had more fun trying to walk around and climbing the hill. He was doing a great job, but the concrete sidewalk was making me a little nervous.

After the parade, we took a walk to the Catholic Church where there was a beautiful fall set-up on the lawn. Lizzie and I decided to use this opportunity to get some fall pictures of the kids. They turned out beautifully. Although all the kids are looking different directions.

After the Autumn Glory festivities, we headed back to Cheat Lake for Domonick's 12th birthday party. Sad to say that I didn't get any pictures of that, but I'm sure there are some on Christina's blog, so check it out.

Party Party Party!!

Isaac turned one-year-old on September 24th! He had so much fun and we had lots of friends there. Mommy worked really hard on a special birthday cake and lots of cupcakes that looked like blocks. It was a hit!

Isaac got lots of gifts for his first birthday...thank you to everyone! Mommy and Daddy bought him a rocking horse and an activity cube. From others he got clothes, toys, diapers, books, and even some money for his bank account at the credit union!
Even though he doesn't look very happy, he loves the pony.

Then it was time for the photo op! The song was sung, the candle was lit, and cake was served! We stripped him and placed him in his highchair. Now Isaac doesn't like to be sticky, so he only got messy enough for the pictures and he'd had enough. That was fine because we got our pictures, but the mess was minimal.

All in all, the party was a success and even though he won't remember a thing, we had fun! Thanks to my friend Heidi for playing photographer! That's the only reason we have pictures. Not much time for pictures when you are the mother of the birthday boy! Thanks Heidi!!!

He's getting older!
